The desired response to the Gospel

God created us in His image to live in Relationship with Him.

In our sin we have Rebelled against God and Ruined that opportunity.
As our Role model, Jesus lived in perfect submission to God.

His death on the cross was the perfect Ransom for our sin and He Rose on the third day as perfect proof of life after death.
You can Receive the gift of salvation if you Repent and believe. Are you Ready?
Receive
Repent
Ready

And 8-year-old girl needed a heart transplant.

She received a heart from an unsolved murder victim.

She began having nightmares of the murder.

She heard his voice and saw his face.

She reported info to the police and the murder was solved.

Hearts have little brains of 40,000 neurons that can learn, have feelings and remember things.

Because of cellular memory, we can Receive information from those we receive transplants from.

God made us in His image so we can Receive His heart and His character. With His heart, He will put His spirit in us while revealing and guiding us into our future.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.”

If you decide to trade in your heart of stone, one focused on pleasing self over God, and receiving by faith God’s heart, He will empower you to live more like Him.

Receive

Receive - To accept or to get something given

Christmas and birthdays are the days we usually receive gifts.

These are usually:

1. Given by people who care for us.

2. Gifts are often something we need.

3. A gift is something we cannot earn, or pay for, we must just receive it.

4. Gifts are usually surprises.

God offers us the gift of salvation that we can only Receive by faith.

1. Salvation is being offered by Someone who loves you. God!

2. Salvation is desperately needed because religion does not meet the standard of perfection required by a Holy God.

3. We cannot earn, or pay for our Salvation.

4. Salvation brings daily surprises into our lives.

Eph 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

To Receive a gift is to accept or obtain it freely.

Repent

Repent - To turn away from something due to horror or regret.

When we repent, we must turn and walk in the opposite direction.

In order to grasp what this means, get up and walk three steps in one direction and then turn and go the opposite direction.

We cannot simply commit to a few religious habits. We must allow God to bring about transformation in how we speak, eat, respond to criticism, care for our bodies, conduct our relationships, and manage our money etc.

Matthew 3:1-2 - In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”

Matthew 4:17 - From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Mark 1:15 - The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel.

Ready

I’m sharing this with you because surrendering my life to Jesus was the best decision of my life.

I believe that the best way for me to love you is to help you experience His love and give you an opportunity to Receive His forgiveness.

Are you Ready to Receive Christ as your savior?

It is as simple as ABC.

The Salvation ABC’s

If you do this and trust God with your life, I promise that you will have the most fulfilling and exciting life you could possibly have.

A – Do you Admit that you are a sinner and that the penalty of sin is death

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

B – Do you Believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

C – Will you Commit to being a follower of Jesus by repenting of your sin and obeying His Word.

From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. Acts 3:19

If you believe that Jesus Christ loves you and died on the cross and rose from the dead for your sin, and you would like to ask Him to forgive you and receive forgiveness leading to eternal life, I would love to lead you in a prayer of surrender the Lord. It’s as simple as A, B, C: Admit, Believe, and Confess.

Just pray: “Dear God,

I ADMIT that I’m a sinner and that I have lived to selfishly please myself over God. I admit that the penalty of my sin is death.

I BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that He died and rose from the dead for my sin.

I CONFESS Jesus as my savior and repent of my sin by turning away from old life to follow Jesus and invite the Holy Spirit to fill my heart. Please forgive me Lord,

And I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen."

Story - A man walked across a tightrope over a water fall. It took him three hours.

When he was done, he told the crowd that he was going to put a wheel barrel on the wire, fill it with dirt and walk back.
He got on the wire, with the wheel barrel and they filled it with dirt. He looked down at the crowd and asked, “Do you believe I can walk across the wire without dropping any dirt?”
They all shouted, “We believe.”

He looked at a little boy and asked, “Do you believe I can take this wheel barrel across without dropping any dirt?”

The boy said “Yes, I believe.”

The man dumped the dirt out and said, “Get in and go with me.”

To believe in Jesus is to get in the wheel barrel and give God full authority over your life.
